History
KQTY first signed on the air as KHUZ on January 8, 1947. We are Borger's first radio station; and today, we are the only commercial radio station physically active in Borger and Hutchinson County.

Technical
KQTY operates 24-hours a day at 106.7 FM with 6000 watts of power and24-hours a day at 1490 AM with 1000 watts of power.

Music
KQTY 106.7 FM features “Today's Best Country Music!” as one of Cumulus' 24-hour music affiliate. Our focused programming features Country's fresh new music and your favorite all time Country hits attracting a broad demographic of 18 to 54 year old listeners.

News-Talk
KQTY 1490 AM features 24-hour programming with radio personalities like: Doug Stephan, Herman Cain, Dennis Miller, Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, Roger Hedgecock, Carry Brothers, Ron Seggi, Monica Crowley, Jim Sumpter, Alex Jones (Weekend), Dr Joy Browne, Tina Anderson and Lori Roth. Also there's Watchdog on Wall Street, Radio Free America, Cyberline, Science Fantastic, Wealth Management, Tech Nite Owl, Money Pit, Pet Talk, MomTalk, Good Parenting and Doctor's Orders.

Sports
KQTY 1490 AM is affiliated Westwood One featuring live College Football Games and NFL Pro Football Games including the Play-offs all the way to the Super Bowl. Also Borger High School games are simucast on 1490 AM and 106.7 FM. (George Grover calls the games and he's been doing it since 1980). On the weekends, there's Rod & Custom, Hot Rod Mag, AutoWorld, Gun Owners News and Outdoors This Week.

Local Talent
KQTY 106.7 FM features The Morning Show weekdays 6-10 am hosted by George Grover. It's the standard “Get Ya Goin'" family-friendly show listened to by almost everyone who is anybody in Hutchinson County. It also includes the “Klassifieds” 9-10 am weekdays “Our most listened-to hour!” The Texas Country Lunch Show with Roy T. airs weekdays from10 a.m. till noon featuring Country's next generation hit makers from across the states of Texas and Oklahoma. Catch great Sountern Gospel Music with Jerry Smith every Sunday from 6:20 to 10:35 a.m.
